Reception
The reception area is often a busy place. Patients are checking in, waiting for appointments or being
discharged. The phones are ringing and customers are patiently waiting to set up an appointment or
perhaps purchase some food or pet supplies.
Some days it's like organized chaos in the waiting area. Managing to keep smiling through it all
are our dedicated receptionists.

Hello there. My name is Cecilia. I head up the reception team at Truro Veterinary Hospital. I was born and raised in Sydney. It was my love of animals that made me seek out employment with a Sydney vet hospital before moving to Truro in 1986 to accept a position at the Truro Veterinary Hospital. My training has been mostly on the job with a few formal continuing education courses along the way. I’m here to answer any questions you may have about the hospital.
Shortly after moving to Truro, someone new entered my life…My cat Tom. After eighteen and a half wonderful years Tom passed away due to cancer. Now I have adopted a stray named Pickles or as some would call her Ricky Bubbles. She has fit into our lives as if she was sent by Tom.

"Hi, this is the Truro Veterinary Hospital, Kerry speaking” is usually the first thing you'll hear me say. I am one of the receptionists here at Truro Vet, born and raised in Fredericton NB. I came to Truro in 1997.In the fall of 2000 I attended the Maritime Business College in Dartmouth where I took the Veterinary Assistant program and I have been working here at Truro Vet since April of 2002. I am here to answer your questions, make your appointments, and help your pet check in and out of the hospital. I also help organize the outpatient clinic in Tatamagouche.
My fiance, Aaron and I share our house in Belmont with our 3 cats, Volvo, Silly, and Noodle. On March 16th, 2005, our beautiful daughter, Hailee Mae came into our lives. She has quite the little personality, keeps us laughing all the time.
I look forward to may years to come working at the Truro Vet Hospital.

Hi, my name is Sheri-Lynn and I am one of the receptionists at TVH. I have been working here since September 2004. I also organize the outpatient clinic in Tatamagouche along with Kerry, so if you have any questions just ask me.
My house is maintained entirely for the comfort and enjoyment of the love of my life, a Shih-Tzu/Bichon mix named Stitch. In my spare time I enjoy performing in plays at the Hubtown Theatre.

Hi, my name is Valerie and I'm one of the receptionists at the Truro Veterinary Hospital. I have been here since Feb. 2005 and I am proud to be a part of such a great team.
My husband Brian and I enjoy spending time at our cottage with the dogs, Casey, a Duck Toller, Zoey, a wonderful mixed breed and Bella, a Shar Pei.
Casey loves to swim and chase toys, while Zoey swims to eat dragonflies and other water bugs. Bella is a much more refined lady who dips and wades. |

Hi. My name is Suzanne. I became a member of the Truro Vet team in October 2007. It might be me on the phone when you call, as I am normally found working at the reception desk. I share my house with my three children Autumn, Micayla and Tristan, our dog Hawk and our three cats Sampson, Midnight and Suki. We visit our horse Santana daily as our house is too small for her too. |
